A girl (Rayana) is sitting at the table at writing a letter to Santa:” Dear Santa, all year I was a very good girl! I was a diligent student at school. I always did my homework. I always obeyed my Mom and Dad. I helped with the housework! I would like to ask you to bring joy and happiness to my family and all my relatives. I would like all people in the world to be able to ask about help and to get this help. It is very important to manage to ask about what you need. I wish all people’s dreams come true. I wish peace stay on the Earth and we all appreciate what we have. But my biggest desire is to meet you personally! I am sure we will be very good friends!

(Her brother Stas enteres the room)

What are you doing? (Stas)

I am writing a letter to Santa. (Rayana)

Writing a letter? In the 21st century? All people have computers and the access to the Internet. Why not to write an e-mail to him? (Stas)

E-mail? What’s this? (Rayana)

An electronic letter. You type it and sent from your computer. The letter immediately enters the Santa’s mailbox…By the way, have you known before that Santa has his own website? (Stas)
- Website? What website? (Rayana)

Oh, my God! Check this out, Rayana, you type www.santaclaus.net and …Stop! What Santa are you writing to? (Stas)

What do you mean “What Santa”? (Rayana)

Rayana, do you think there is the only Santa in the world? (Stas)

Why not? (Rayana)

You still don’t know so many things, Rayana! OK, I will tell you what I know myself as your older brother. People in different countries celebrate Christmas and New Year in different ways. And by the way they have their own Santas. (Stas)

I can’t belive it! Who are you kidding? No, no, no, it’s totally unacceptable! Santa is unique and special! (Rayana)

Yes, he is but… Stop, I know how to prove it. Look! With help of virtual space we’ll travel around the world and see how people celebrate Christmas. (Stas)

Christmas in the Great Britain.

Santa (Ahmed) is sitting at the desk among the piles of letters from children all over the world. (As a background Jingle Bells sounds)

Everyday is the same! I feel like a robot! I get up at 5 o’clock, have cookies and milk for breakfast, go to my Christmas workshop and check what my elfs make for kids all over the world. Then I have cookies and milk for lunch, sleep a little bit and again at 5 o’clock pm have cookies and milk… I am fed up with milk and cookies! I wanna meat, coffee without milk, bananas and lemonade at least.

What I have to listen every day? Me? Who was the most talented Santa in the class? Who played in rock band? Jingle Bells? (He sits at the piano and plays Warriors Imagine Dragons) See! That’s what I like. We live in the 21st century! By the way, my transport, how I move, by reindeers, ridiculous! (Ahmed)

Santa, Santa, your main elf is late because he got stuck in a terrible traffic jam! (Elf)

Traffic Jam? How is that possible? Are sky roads gridlocked? (Ahmed)

But, Santa, you have recently turned all your reindeers into Mersedeses. (Elf)

Oh, I forgot! You never know what is better! I need to visit my sister Befana, I haven’t seen her for ages! She lives in Italy and I will eat pizza, cheese and spaghetti! (Ahmed)

Who are you and why you entered my house? Oh, no, stop, it was from another play who are you, my little child, and what do you need from me? (Ahmed)

Santa, it was my dream to see how people celebrate Christmas all over the world. Please, take me with you! (Rayana)

OK! No problem! We still have no my helper but I have a driving license! (Ahmed)

No, Santa, let’s go by reindeers! (Rayana)

Oh, I am too kind sometimes! Ok, lets! (Ahmed)

Christmas in Italy with the witch Befana

Befana (Alua) wearing bandana and shorts with a big broom walking along her room back and forth and screaming: “Mama mia, tradizione idiota! I should fly on a broom whereas il mio fratello Santa Claus flies on a sleigh with funny reindeers! I should eat pizza and spaghetti whereas il mio fratello Santa Claus eats cookies and milk? I hate it! (Then she sees Santa and guests)

Amore mio, il mio caro fratello! Ciao, ciao, come stai? (Alua)

Molto bene, grazie, mia sorella! (Ahmed)

Stop! Let’s fence first! (Alua)

Fence! Are you kidding, Befana? (Ahmed)

Come on, Klaus, I will prick you!

They are fencing, at last Befana wins.

You are losing your shape, carissimo! (Alua)

That’s what I am talking every day, Bef! I am eating only cookies and milk! (Ahmed)

Then Befana sees Alex and Stas:

Who are they, russo turisto? (Alua)

Turisto, but not russo! (Ahmed)

Oh, dear lady Befana, I am so happy to meet you! I have never known about you! (Rayana)

You haven’t known about me? Questo e impossibile! Questo e koshmar! (Alua)

Calm down, sorella! Let’s sing our favorite song! (Ahmed)

They sing a song together Flyleaf.

Listen, I have never known that witches can be so cool! She is gorgeous! I like her so much! (Rayana)

Yea! Pretty cool old eternal lady! But we have to visit two more countries and now we will visit Hawaii. (Stas)

Hawaii? Stas, you are pulling your leg! People in Hawaii cannot have Christmas because they have no snow! (Rayana)

Alex, you will be really surprised to see how they have a blast during this holiday. Come on, let’s go, you will see everything yourself! (Stas)

Christmas in Hawaii!

I am tired, Stas! We have just visited three different countries! What else? (Rayana)

What else? Let me think, Oh, I know, Russia! (Stas)

Oh no! (Rayana)

Why? What’s wrong with Russia! (Stas)

It’s very cold there! (Rayana)

Rayana, cold is better that rain at Christmas Eve! Come on! (Stas)

Christmas in Russia with Father Frost!

We would like to see how you live and people in your country!

Well, Rayana, now you know that in different countries there are different magicians and traditions. Have you chosen who you is gonna write your letter? (Stas)

I have changed my mind, Stas! I wanna see all of them one more time! (Rayana)

I can do it in one go! (Stas)

You? You know what? You are the greatest show-off I have ever met in my life! (Rayana)

Me? Show-off? Rayana, don’t forget, we live in the 21st century and I will only press the button ‘ENTER’ and Abracadabra… (Stas)

All four magicians come out and greet Rayana! Then one of them asks Rayana!

Have you already made your New Year’s Resolutions? (Ahmed)

Have I made what? (Rayana)

Stop, stop, may I tell the world about this great New Year’s tradition!

Before the clock strikes 12 times people all over the world make their New Year’s resolutions and decide to do something new at the beginning of the New Year! Let’s all make our New Year’s resolutions. I am sure New Year will bring all of us happiness and new productive and efficient life! (Stas)

People take a small piece of paper and write down their New Year’s Resolution then roll it into the small rolls! Then we all burn candles.

Candles and small glasses and the song “Last Christmas” of Wham.

Nell : Will , can you hear music ?

Christmas is coming”.

Christmas is coming. The goose is getting fat.

Please put a penny in the old man"s hat. (2)

If you have no penny, a ha" penny will do.

If you have no ha" penny then God bless you. (2)

Wake up . Today is Christmas Eve. It’s our night. It takes only once a year .

Welcome, welcome, Christmas day!”

Glittering, glittering merrily.

A star at my head, and gifts at my feet.

And all my branches candy sweet.

Christmas tree, we love you so.

Live with us, play with us, do not go.

We"ll plant you outdoors

With grass at your feet

On all your branches singing birds sit.

Will: Oh, look, our tree with its toys has come to life again. Our granny was right. It’s a magic night. Oh , hello , tree ! Hello , toys !

Hello , Will ! Hello , Nell !

Will: I like Christmas. And what about you? Why do you love Christmas?

I love Christmas for many things

Trees, candles, angel wings.

Stars in the heaven, snow covered hills,

Little toy trains, dolls in their frills.

I love Christmas, ribbons of gold,

Familiar carols, so very old.

Sweet candy canes, bright red sleds,

Little ones snug in their beds.

I love Christmas most of all.

I look forward to a neighbour"s call.

A friendly chat, a cup of tea…

Love in the home means Christmas for me.

Nell: There isn’t any Christmas without Christmas tree. Let’s sing a hymn to it.

Oh , Christmas Tree !”

O, Christmas tree (2), how ever green your branches.

They are green when summer days are bright

They are green when winter snow is white.

O, Christmas tree (2), how ever green your branches.

Will (обращаясь к залу ): Do you know, children, any songs about Christmas tree? Let s sing !

Nell: Can you hear a bell? What is it ?

Will: These are jingling bells.

Jingle bells”.

Dashing through the snow

On a one-horse open sleigh,

Over the fields we go,

Laughing all the way;

Bells on bob-tail ring,

Making spirits bright,

What fun it is to ride and sing

A sleighing song tonight, O

Jingle bells, jingle bells,

Jingle all the way!

O what fun it is to ride

In a one-horse open sleigh (repeat)

A day or two ago,

I thought I"d take a ride,

And soon Miss Fanny Bright

Was seated by my side;

The horse was lean and lank;

Misfortune seemed his lot;

He got into a drifted bank,

And we, we got upset. O

A day or two ago,

The story I must tell

I went out on the snow

And on my back I fell;

A gent was riding by

In a one-horse open sleigh,

He laughed as there I sprawling lie,

But quickly drove away, O

Now the ground is white

Go it while you"re young,

Take the girls tonight

And sing this sleighing song;

Just get a bob-tailed bay

Two-forty as his speed

Hitch him to an open sleigh

And crack! You’ll take the lead, O

Nell: But do you think that’s all? Oh, no, the miracles are going on. Even the stars are coming to life again.

Twinkle, twinkle, little star”.

Up above the world so high like a diamond in the sky.

Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are.

When the traveler in the dark thanks you for your tiny spark.

He couldn’t see the way to go if you didn’t twinkle so.

Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are.

Will: Our granny was right about the miracles. She said, Santa Claus would bring us the presents. What would you like ?

Nell: I"d like a doll smiling and crying. And you ?

Will: I"d like a hammer and tacks, a whistle and a ball.

Nell: Let"s put our cards with our wishes into the stockings and Santa Claus will do them.

Звучит вступление к песне “ Up to the Housetop ”. Исполняется песня “Up to the Housetop”.

Up on the housetop reindeer pause

Out jumps good old Santa Clause

Down through the chimney with lots of toys

All for the little ones Christmas joys

Ho, ho, ho! Who wouldn"t go!

Ho, ho, ho! Who wouldn"t go!

Up on the housetop Click, click, click

Down through the chimney with

Good Saint Nick

First comes the stocking of little Nell

Oh, dear Santa fill it well

Give her a dolly that laughs and cries

One that will open and shut her eyes

Next comes the stocking of little Will

Oh, just see what a glorious fill

Here is a hammer and lots of tacks

Also a ball and a whistle that cracks

The sunrise is coming.

Our time is over.

We wish you a Merry Christmas.

We wish you a Merry Christmas”.

We wish you a Merry Christmas (3)

And a Happy New Year!

Let"s all do a little clapping (3)

And spread Christmas cheer.

1: Dear children and guests! On the 25th of December people celebrate Christmas – a beautiful holiday, which is loved by children and adults; when everything is decorated with lights and toys; when we see Christmas trees everywhere; when people buy presents and cook special food, send cards and have parties!

2: Well, the candles are lit, the Christmas tree is glittering with lights, the fire in the fire-place is burning. It’s time to begin the festival. The festival of Christmas.

3: Everybody of you has his own mas, his own birthday which is celebrated with a light pie and tasty lemonade. But this occasion is something special; this is birthday of Jesus, our Savior. He was born on the 25-th of December, nearly 2.000 years ago. Are you interested how it happened? So listen.

1: Long, long ago in the town of Nazareth the carpenter Joseph lived. Joseph had a wife, Maria. The god’s angel once came to her and said:

Ангел: I come down from the heavens and ask you to listen carefully. A child will be born this evening. One day he will be king. Follow that star and you will find this prince of peace. The child"s name will be Jesus.

We will follow the star to our prince.

Mary has given birth to a baby boy. She and Joseph are sitting with their newborn child, Jesus. They are surrounded by barnyard animals. The three approach. The star is visible in the night sky.

Joseph, we have a beautiful baby boy.

Иосиф: Yes Mary. Mary darling, look there. (Показывает на приближающихся волхвов) Who are these men approaching us?

1. Greetings. I want to wish you great happiness and joy. I offer you, the parents of this child Jesus, my gift of gold. May this child have a life rich in experience.
2. Congratulations Mary and Joseph. This gist of spices and perfumes is for you my new prince. I have come many miles to find you. We know you are special and have only the best of wishes for you.
3. Mary and Joseph (кланяется) thank you for this wonderful baby. I have come many miles to bring you this gift. You’ll be good parents and enjoy this child"s life. Happy Birthday Baby Jesus!

He loves you like a father.
He has you in his hands.
He says all men are brothers.
He gives you happy chance.
Wherever you’re going
He’s going your way.
Whatever you’re doing
He’s making your fate.
He leads you in the darkness.
He saves you day and night.
He gotta stop the fighters.
He’s mighty, he is high.

2: Our festival is going on. In the centre of London at the Trafalgar square stands enormous green tree, gift from people of Oslo. In every house there stand evergreen trees, because the evergreen trees are the symbols of eternal life. Under the Christmas tree they put a manger with Christ baby.

3: The Germans are believed to be the first to use the Christmas tree in their celebrations, and Martin Luther was the first to place a star on the top of the tree. This star represent the star that appeared over the stable in which Christ was born.

1: The well – known image of Santa Claus was invented by Coca – Cola. The producers of this soft drink were very unhappy because their soft drink was considered a “summer” drink. They wanted to sell it in the winter too. So they hired a guy called Haddon Sandblom to make a nice ad for them. Sundblom immediately thought of Santa Claus. Actually, he modeled him more or less on his friendly neighbor, who had a round face, a short beard and a red nose… So thanks to Coca Cola, half the world is now giving each other expensive gifts for Christmas.

2: The house is decorated with twigs of mistletoe and holy. Holy, because before death Jesus was wearing the garland of holy, and mistletoe is the symbol of love and reconciliation under which a boy may kiss a girl, asking pardon for the pranks. It is said that the girl who was not kissed under it at Christmas would not get married that year.

3: On Christmas we must forgive each others all offences and ask pardon for everything. On the Christmas Eve there is a fuss in towns, everybody’s making preparations. Offices are closed at 1 o’clock, but shops are working. Postmen hurry to deliver millions of Christmas cards, young people in the streets are singing Christmas songs, collecting money for poor people.

1: But the main event of Christmas is the Christmas dinner with traditional turkey or goose, and pudding. Every young woman in each household helps to stir the Christmas pudding if she wishes to be married that year.
Christmas is the family event, all are gathering at one table, act the scene about Christ birth, play games, sing Christmas songs. Carol singing is an essential part of Christmas. No church or school is without its carol service.

2: Now we have a contest “What do you know about Cristmas?” Answer our questions, please. The first question: When is Christmas celebrated in Europe?

3: Whose birthday is celebrated on Christmas?

1: Who introduced the tradition to decorate the Christmas Tree in Russia?

2: Where does the most famous Christmas Tree stand in London?

3: Whose present is Christmas Tree in London?

1: What is another name of father Christmas?

2: What do Englishmen eat for lunch on Christmas day?

1: In this city a lot of people gather in Times Square and watch the “Big Apple” fall. The “Big Fall” isn’t a real apple. It`s a moving picture of an apple on the side of one of the big buildings in Times Square. Every New Year’s Eve during the last few seconds before midnight it starts to “fall” down the building, and when it gets to the bottom it’s the start of the new year.

2: In this country housewives start cooking special food for New Year’s Day and all the members of the family do a big cleaning up. The idea is to get rid of the dirt of the past year, and welcome the new year without it. On the television or radio you can hear 108 bells. The 108th bell rings just a second before the midnight. The people say: ”Happy New Year!” People eat the special food and drink rice wine during the meal.

3: People call the New Year’s Eve “Hogmanay”.They visit their friend’s houses just after midnight on the New Year’s night. The first person who comes to your house brings you luck. At midnight when the clock begins to strike 12,the head of the family goes to the entrance door, opens it wide and holds it until the last stroke. Then he shuts the door. He has let the old year out and let the New Year in.

1: This country is sometimes called “the upside down world”. It lies in the Southern Hemisphere. During the Christmas holidays people often sunbathe on the beach or swim and surf in the ocean. On the 31st of December many people go to the country for the picnic. In January the temperatures are from 20 to 30 degree above zero or higher.

2: In this country it can be dangerous to have a walk at night at the end of December. People usually throw the old things from the houses through the windows: broken cups and plates, old clothes and boots and sometimes different pieces of furniture. People believe that on the New Year’s Eve the magician Befaniya comes to the houses through the chimney and put the presents for children in their stockings or shoes.

(The NEW YEAR and the SNOW MAIDEN are knocking at the door. They have presents and a bell in their hands)

New Year:

I am the little New Year, ho, ho!
Here I come jumping over the snow,
Shaking my bell with a merry din

Snow Maiden:

Presents we bring for each and all
Big folks, little folks, short and tall.
Each one from us a treasure may win,
So open your doors and let me in!

New Year:

Some shall have silver and some shall have gold
Some shall have new clothes and some shall have old.

Snow Maiden:

Some shall have water and some shall have milk
Some shall have satin and some shall have silk!

New Year: But each of you a present may win

Snow Maiden: So open your doors and let us in!

SCENE 2.

(Enter Mrs.CLAUS)

Mrs.Claus: Oh, hello dear New Year! Have you got any present for Santa Claus?

New Year: What? A present for our old Santa? No, here are some presents which he must take to children. And he must hurry! He hasn"t got much time to finish his work!

Mrs.Claus: Poor old Santa... Good-bye, New Year. Merry Christmas!

(Exit New Year. Enter ELF 1 and ELF 2)

Mrs.Claus: Good day, my little elves. Come here! Have you, Elves, ever thought what it is like for our Santa on Christmas morning? He works all Christmas night putting presents in children"s stockings, and when he comes back to a quiet North Pole he is so tired! All people are opening presents and having a wonderful time and poor old Santa is so tired that he can"t celebrate!

1 st Elf:

Think about it. It"s almost shocking!
He won"t even have a Christmas stocking.
Is it too late for us to plan
To celebrate with this kind old man?

Mrs.Claus: What a good idea! No, it isn"t to late! Let"s quickly think of the presents we can make!

2 nd Elf:

Let"s give him new gloves and a hat right away
So the cold won"t get him when he is out in his sleigh.

Mrs.Claus: What about some nice tasty things for the holiday lunch?

2 nd Elf: We"ll make up a tasty brew! Can you cook his favourite stew?

Mrs.Claus: Of course! So, I"m going to the kitchen and you hurry for a surprise for Santa!

SCENE 3.

(Enter TOM SAWYER, DOROTHY and ALICE)

Tom: Where are my Christmas presents? There is nothing in my stocking! How awful! Oh, my dear friends, I"m so angry that I forgot to tell you who I am. I am famous Tom Sawyer!

Dorothy: I am Dorothy. Do you know me? You have read about my adventures in the book "The Wizard of Oz". I flew to a magic country in my house with my dog Toto.

Alice: And my name is Alice. Do you know what tale I come from? "Alice in Wonderland", of course!

Tom: Imagine how unhappy I am with these two silly girls following me here and there and everywhere! Woh!

Dorothy: Tom, stop being naughty, please! It"s Christmas Eve!

Alice: It"s Christmas Eve and where are our presents? There is nothing in my stocking!

Dorothy: And my stocking is empty, too!

Tom: What has happened to Santa Claus?

(Enter MRS.CLAUS and the ELVES)

Mrs.Claus: My dear friends, you know how busy Santa is. No wonder he has forgotten!

Dorothy, Alice: Merry Christmas, Mrs.Claus!

1 st Elf: Merry Christmas, everybody! Do you know that we decided to give Santa Claus some presents. He never gets anything on Christmas, you know.

Tom: I"ve got an idea. Old Santa has so much work to do today. What if we help him to take the presents to those children who live not very far away?

2 nd Elf: That will be nice! Here is a bag with presents, the New Year has left it hear. Oh, how heavy it is!

Mrs.Claus: Now everybody has something to do and I am going to make a stew.

Dorothy: Can we help you. Mrs.Claus?

Alice: We would like to do it!

1 st Elf: And I think we must invite children to our party. They will dress up in pretty clothes and we"ll have fun!

Mrs.Claus: But we must hurry - Christmas is coming.

SCENE 4.

(Enter BLACK FAIRY)

Black Fairy: Oh, I knew it! Santa Claus hasn"t even put a stocking for me. He"s forgotten about me! And they are all talking about him - helping Santa, presents for Santa, a party for Santa... And I"m always alone! O.K. I"ll show them what happens if they forget about Black Fairy! I don"t want them to help that old fat Santa Claus. Oh, what"s that? Christmas presents!? Presents for these naughty, noisy, lazy children? I"ll take them and hide in a good secret place. (to the audience) And if you tell them anything you will never get any presents on Christmas! Do you understand? Never again!

SCENE 5.

(Enter Tom, Dorothy and Alice)

Tom: It"s time to go. The children are waiting for their presents. (looking around) But where are the presents? Where is the bag?

Dorothy: Where are the presents?

Alice (crying): Somebody has taken the bag! Now the children won"t get the presents!

Dorothy (crying): Poor Santa Claus. Everybody will be angry with him. We wanted to help and now...

Tom: Never again shall I ask any girls to help me! The only thing they can do is cry and weep! It"s cold today and if you don"t stop you will have icicles on your eyes! Stop crying and let me think. There must be a way out. Yes! A Christmas Fairy - Saula is the only one who can help us! She always comes on Christmas Eve to those who need help.

SCENE 6.

(Distant music and bells are heard, enter SAULA)

Saula: Merry Christmas!

Tom: Saula! I"ve been thinking about you! How do you know that we need your help?

Saula: I heard someone crying. I thought I could help, and here I am!

Alice: Saula, dear, do you know what has happened?

Saula: I don"t, sweetheart.

Dorothy: We decided to help Santa Claus with the presents, you know he is so busy on Christmas Eve...

Saula: How lovely! How kind of you to do it!

Alice: But somebody has taken the bag with all the presents!

Tom: Even I have no idea - who could do such a bad thing!

Saula: Let me think... I guess I know who it is.

All: Do you!?

Saula: Have you ever heard about the Black Fairy of the Christmas Eve?

Tom: Never.

Alice: Yes, I"ve once read about her. People say she is very wicked, nobody loves her and she loves nobody.

Saula: You are right. She always tries to do something bad on Christmas Eve.

Tom: Let me catch her and she will never do anything bad again!

Saula: Don"t be so angry, Tom. Christmas is the time for love and forgiving. Think of how unhappy she is. She"s got no friends, no family. Nobody gives her presents or says Merry Christmas.

Dorothy: Poor thing.

Alice: I"m so sorry.

Dorothy: And what if we give her a present?

Tom: A present for this ...

Alice: Oh, Tom, we must give her a present and say we are sorry nobody wants to be her friend. May be she isn"t as bad as she looks.

Dorothy: We can be her friends.

Saula: You are good girls! That"s just what we must do. Elves! Elves! Have you got one more stocking?

SCENE 7.

(Enter Elves)

1 st Elf: Merry Christmas Saula!

2 nd Elf: Who do you need a stocking for?

Saula: For Black Fairy.

Elves: Black Fairy?

Tom: These kind women feel sorry for her! And she has stolen the bag with Christmas presents! Have you ever heard anything like that!?

Saula: Tom, be a good boy today. Don"t forget it"s Christmas time.

Tom: O.K. I"ll show you that I can be good. I can even give Black Fairy my tooth as a present. And it"s the best thing I have got!

Dorothy: We"ve got some candies.

2 nd Elf: And I have a nice Christmas bell!

Saula: Here is an apple and a beautiful Christmas card from me. Let us put everything into the stocking and call Black fairy all together.

All: Black Fairy! Black Fairy!

SCENE 8.

(Enter Black Fairy)

Black Fairy: I haven"t seen your bag with presents! I"ve never touched it.

Saula: Dear, nobody thinks you have!

Alice: We just wanted to say to you -

All: Merry Christmas!

Dorothy: Christmas is the time for love, friendship and forgiving.

Tom: Here is a present for you, Black Fairy!

Black Fairy: A Christmas stocking? For me? Isn"t it a joke?

1 st Elf: No, Black Fairy, it isn"t a joke. We want to be your friends.

Black Fairy: Oh, thank you so much! And I am sorry. It was me. I took the presents. I didn"t want you to help Santa Claus because he never, never brings me presents. I am so sorry. Here is the bag. Forgive me, please!

Saula: We will forgive you if you help us to take the presents to the children. We must hurry or we"ll be late!

Black Fairy: Certainly, with great pleasure!

Saula: I"m leaving you now. You can do everything yourselves and I must help those who are unhappy today. Good-bye and merry Christmas! (exit Saula)

SCENE 9.

(Mrs.Claus and the Elves)

Mrs.Claus: Everything is ready. We helped Santa with the presents and his stocking is full of presents, too. And the tasty lunch is on the table. But there are no lights on the Christmas tree!

1 st Elf:

We"ll have to hurry to get things done
The computer shows he"s on his last run!

2 nd Elf: Yes, he is coming!

Mrs.Claus: Tom, Alice, Dorothy, come here! (Enter Tom, Alice, Dorothy). I can hear him. He"s going into his bedroom. Let"s turn off the lights and hide. (the stage remains dark and quiet) I"d better go and see what has happened to him. I don"t hear anything! (the lights go up, Mrs.Claus exits and immediately comes back)

Well, little friends, you needn"t hide
Santa"s too tired after his ride
The party food we"ll have to keep
Dear old Santa is fast asleep!

Tom: What if we wake him up?

Alice: Won"t he be angry? He is so tired.

Dorothy: I know a lovely Christmas song about Santa Claus. If we sing it he"ll wake up and won"t be angry.

I"m dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
When the tree tops glisten and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow.
I"m dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write.
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white.
